General InformationHow to get there?Tampere is situated some 170 km north of Helsinki. You may choose to fly to either to Helsinki or to Tampere – often Helsinki flights are somewhat cheaper. Helsinki has flight connections to all major cities in Europe. Tampere has direct flight connections with Stockholm, Copenhagen, Riga, London, Dublin, Frankfurt, Bremen, and Milan. There is a frequent bus service from Helsinki airport to Tampere city centre. Check the bus timetable. The bus trip takes approximately two - two and a half hours and costs approximately 24 euros. Tampere Airport is located at Pirkkala, 17 kilometers from the city centre. There is a bus connection from airport to Tampere city centre, that costs 4 euros 10 cents, please see the timetable. You can also take a shuttle bus either to the nearby railway stations of Tikkurila or Helsinki. From both, there is an hourly train to the centre of Tampere. Check the train timetable. The train trip takes approximately 1,5 hours. The railway station in Tampere is located in the heart of the city, at the eastern end of Hämeenkatu, the main street. To and from Helsinki,
there is a train every hour, during rush hours even more frequently. In Tampere - Getting to the dance studioBy car: Street address to the Club House is Sammon valtatie 10. Enter the entrance address Harankatu 3 to your GPS. You can plan your route with Eniro Reitit -service: Eniro There is a lot of parking space in the Club House's parking lot.
By local transport: Our dance studio Swintti is located in the street address Sammon valtatie 10. Note that the entrance is from Harankatu 3. There is frequent and inexpensive public transport buses in Tampere. From the city centre you can reach the dance studio by bus routes 17, 25, 27 and 37 (bus stop "Sammon valtatie 10"). A single ticket costs 2,50 euros and can be bought from the bus driver (single ticket = "kertalippu" in Finnish). Buses 17, 25, 27 and 37 to/from the city center stop right in front of the clubhouse. In the city center the buses use the main street Hämeenkatu. If you travel by train you can take a bus at the railway station opposite of the warehouse Stockmann. If you arrive in Tampere by coach, take a 300 meter walk from the bus station to the city center and take a bus from Koskipuisto. More info on public transport in Tampere: here. |
