Madridilainen Lindy hop-opettaja John Scott tulee Tampereelle vetämään viikonloppuintensiivin 12./13.11.2016 opetusparinaan Tanja Wingerter. Kaikki tunnit pidetään Tampereen yliopiston Atalpa-rakennuksen tanssisalissa (Huom. intensiivi järjestetään yliopiston tiloissa, mutta se on avoin kaikille). Sunnuntai-iltapäivänä pääsee soveltamaan opittua tanssilattialla Teerenpelin teetansseissa. Ennen sosiaalitansseja pidetään ilmainen steal jam -taster kaikentasoisille.
Ilmoittautuminen Swing Teamin sivuilla ilmoittautumislomakkeen kautta (http://swingteam.fi:8018/swingapp/register/course/192 ). Pari-ilmoittautumiset etusijalla. Opetuskieli on englanti, mutta asioita voidaan selventää myös suomeksi.

Alkeet
Ei tarvitse olla aiempaa tanssikokemusta. Tunnilla käydään läpi Lindy Hopin perusteita: ”Äkkilähtö Lindy-maailmaan”. Tunnin perusteella on jo valmis astumaan tanssilattialle sunnuntain Teetansseissa.
Alkeisjatko
Kaikille joille triplat, Lindy circle, Swingout, Send out ja Texas Tommy ovat jo tuttuja. Tuntien tavoitteena on vahvistaa perustaitoja, liikkeiden ja pariyhteyden laatua ja uppoutua musiikin tulkinnan maailmaan. Hauskoja dips & tricksejäkin on luvassa. Jos täytät tasovaatimukset, olet myös tervetullut sunnuntain keskitason tunneille.
Keskitaso
Kaikille, joille on jo kertynyt sossukilometrejä, ja osaavat ainakin edellisen tason asiat sekä 6-countit. Vienti/seuraaminen on luontevaa ja toimivaa peruskuvioissa eri ihmisten kanssa. Tunnilla painotetaan musiikin tulkintaa, pariconnectionia ja kehitetään backleading-taitoja.
Hinnat: 20 € / taso, 30 € / 2 tasoa

John Scott: John on 28-vuotias energinen Lindy hop ja Blues-opettaja ja muusikko. Hän aloitti Lindy hopin 8 vuotta sitten ja oli mukana rakentamassa sekä Valencian että Madridin huikeat tanssiskenet. Hän opetti Valenciassa Spiritissa, kunnes siirtyi Madridiin vuosi sitten Alban ja Gastonin kouluun Big Mama Swing.

We are happy to present you a Lindy hop teacher from the renown Swing school Big Mama Swing directly from the Spanish capital Madrid. John Scott and coteacher Tanja Wingerter will be teaching on the weekend 12./13.11.2016 just at the side of the city centre of Tampere, in a fantastic dance hall in university, Atalpa- building. The workshop is open for everyone. On the second workshop day we have organized a free Teadance afternoon in Teerenpeli, including a free all-level taster about some fun piece of Lindy hop culture: Steal jamming.
The registration is to be done on the page of Swing Team, The link is the following: http://swingteam.fi:8018/swingapp/register/course/192 if you find any issues with that e.g. for language reasons, just contact tanja.wingerter@swingteam.fi or write a personal message on facebook to Tanja Wingerter. The workshop will be held in English, explanations may be given also in Finnish (or Spanish;) if needed.

Level descriptions
Beginners
No previous dance experience at all necessary. The classes will introduce the basics of Lindy hop. This will offer you a “Fast track” to Lindy hop and give you the technical and spiritual base to step on the social dance floor on Sundays Teadance, if you like.
Improving Beginners
When the teacher says triple step, Lindy circle, swing out, send out or texas tommy, you know what to do. The idea of the class if to improve your basics, the quality of your moves and your partner connection as well as dive into the world of music interpretation. Also a bunch of fun dips and tricks will be taught. If you fill the requirements for Intermediate level, too, you are welcome to join classes on Sunday.
Intermediate
For the highest workshop level you should have been trying out your skills on social dancing for a while and know the all of the things above, as well as the 6-count (lindy kicks) versions of moves. You have a natural and functioning manner to lead and follow with different people and at different speeds. This class will go into more details about music interpreting, partner connection and backleading (active following).
Prices : 20 € / one level, 30 € / two levels

John Scott: John is an energetic 28 year old Lindy hop teacher, Blues dancer and musician. He started Lindy hop 8 years ago and actively build the dance scene in Valencia and Madrid. He has been working for Gaston and Alba in Madrid for one year now.
